"Matheson provides an exceptional level of service in all areas. Technically accurate, commercially focused and delivers on a timely basis."
IFLR1000

Our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) lawyers advise the firm’s global client base on major M&A and other corporate transactions across a broad range of industry sectors, many with an international dimension. We have advised on some of the most significant Mergers and Acquisitions transactions in recent years, representing some of the world’s largest corporates, financial institutions and international private equity groups.

We are the law firm of choice for international companies doing cross-border transactions and have advised bidders on more cross-border deals with an Irish involvement than any other Irish or international law firm in the last ten years.

During 2014, Matheson advised on the largest European deal of the year, Medtronic’s $42.9 billion acquisition of Covidien, as well as the third largest global transaction of the year, the $66 billion merger agreement under which Actavis will acquire Allergan in a $66 billion cash and stock transaction.
