Housing / Accommodation (including Student Accommodation) Sector

This sector covers a broad spectrum of transactions ranging from residential and commercial accommodation schemes, student accommodation schemes, through to prisons, leisure facilities, courts, harbours and ports.   • advising AIB plc in relation to the Charlemont Street Redevelopment PPP project
  • advising the lender in relation to the project financing of a student accommodation development in Dublin consisting of 491 units of student accommodation, café, gymnasium and related facilities (total development costs of approximately €59m)
  • advising a lender in relation to the development financing of a student accommodation development in Dublin city centre comprising approximately 571 bedrooms in a 4-6 storey courtyard block made up of 7 cores with a gross floor area of 22,173 square metres are related facilities (total development costs of approximately €86m)
  • advising the lender in relation to the construction financing of a student housing development consisting of housing block with the floor area of 75,000 square feet and will comprise 296 beds (loan value is approximately €27m)
  • advising a hybrid hotel chain offering long-stay student accommodation with short-stay facilities for travellers in connection with its proposal to make a competitive bid for the four Irish student accommodation assets at four Dublin City locations (project value was approximately €250m)
  • advised John Sisk and Son as the main contractor to the preferred bidder in relation to the design, build, finance and operation of a National Conference Centre, Dublin, Ireland
  • advised the preferred bidder in relation to the provision of office accommodation for the Government’s Decentralisation PPP Programme in Portlaoise, Mullingar and Carlow in Ireland
  • advised a bidder in relation to the redevelopment of Fatima Mansions in Dublin’s inner city
  • advising a bidder in relation to the redevelopment of Croke Villas in Dublin’s inner city
  • advised the senior funders on the €40 million financing of the construction of Phase II Beacon Court, Sandyford Industrial Estate, Dublin
  • advised the developer in relation to a major residential and commercial office development of 295 apartments, 4,500 sq.m of office space, 500 sq.m of retail space, a crèche and a pub / restaurant at Hanover Quay, Dublin Ireland

  • advised the main contractor to the preferred bidder in relation to the delivery of a new 22 room Criminal Courts Complex in Dublin

Defence

  • advised the successful bidder in relation to the €60 million procurement of armed training planes by the Irish Department of Defence

 Ports

  • advising Drogheda Port Company on all aspects of international competition to select a strategic partner for the development of a new deep water port at Bremore, North Co Dublin

Airports

  • advised CLH on its successful tender for the design, build and operation of new fuel farm tanks at Dublin Airport under a long term services concession agreement, increasing the airport’s aviation fuel storage facility at the airport which will increase existing capacity six fold
  • advised the Irish Department of Transport in relation to the re-organisation of the operating arrangements for  Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports

  • advising the lender in relation to the construction financing of a student housing development consisting of housing block with the floor area of 75,000 square feet and will comprise 296 beds (loan value is approximately €27m)
  • advising a hybrid hotel chain offering long-stay student accommodation with short-stay facilities for travellers in connection with its proposal to make a competitive bid for the four Irish student accommodation assets at four Dublin City locations (project value was approximately €250m)

  • advised CLH on its successful tender for the design, build and operation of new fuel farm tanks at Dublin Airport under a long term services concession agreement, increasing the airport’s aviation fuel storage facility at the airport which will increase existing capacity six fold
