Cpl GDPR: Making it Real
What does GDPR mean for you, and your business? Matheson head of Technology and Innovation Anne-Marie Bohan is delighted to be a guest speaker at the Cpl Jobs Ireland GDPR breakfast event on Tuesday, 5 September.
Anne-Marie will be joined on the panel at the Cpl event by Mary Colhoun, Data Protection Director at Eir, and Kevin Sweeney, Head of Data Protection at Cpl Resources. Anne-Marie will focus her remarks on the emerging practical challenges which organisations are identifying when applying the principles of the GDPR to the reality of business operations.
At Matheson, we recognise the significant increase in the focus on data protection and cybersecurity. In response to the needs of our clients we have refocused our technology and innovation practice and recently announced new leadership for the group, with Anne-Marie appointed head of Technology and Innovation, and two further senior hires as partners. Deirdre Kilroy joins as head of Intellectual Property and is known as one of Ireland’s leading IP lawyers. Chris Bollard joins the Technology and Innovation Group from another leading Irish law firm and brings extensive expertise in data protection, IP, e-commerce and IT law.
The partners’ close collaboration with colleagues in Matheson’s employment, litigation and regulatory teams means that the Group offers real depth of knowledge, experience and risk awareness, and can advise clients on the legal and regulatory regime, but also the practical and pragmatic application of it.
