Matheson recently advised B Capital on an $8.1 million Series A investment round in SilverCloud Health, an Irish digital health company that provides online therapeutic solutions to improve behavioural health and mental wellness.

B Capital Group is an international venture capital firm with offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Singapore, which was founded by Raj Ganguly and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin.

B Capital Group focuses on pioneering start-ups that are ready to scale across the global stage. Partnering with Boston Consulting Group, and its incubation arm BCG Digital Ventures, B Capital delivers unparalleled access to top corporations to match cutting-edge start-ups with the world's most powerful CEOs, platforms, and brands.

The Matheson team advising B Capital Group was led by Dublin based Corporate M&A Partner, Fergus Bolster and Silicon Valley based Tax Partner, Mark O’Sullivan. Commenting on the deal, Fergus Bolster said:

“We are very pleased to have acted for B Capital on this exciting deal. This transaction is the latest example of why our distinctive offering of legal and tax advice, combined with our on-the-ground presence on both West and East coasts, makes us the law firm of choice to provide sophisticated counsel to US venture capital funds in connection with their cross-border investment activities in Irish technologies companies”.

Matheson has offices in Dublin, London, New York and Palo Alto and was the first Irish law firm to open an office in Silicon Valley in 1996.
