Matheson Announces New Leadership for the Technology and Innovation Group

Matheson has announced the appointment of three new senior roles in its Technology and Innovation Group. Anne-Marie Bohan, a Partner at the firm, has been appointed Head of the firm's Technology and Innovation Group while Deirdre Kilroy and Chris Bollard join the firm as Partners within the Group.

Anne-Marie Bohan has over 20 years' experience in technology-related legal matters and has significant experience advising on technology and privacy legal issues. She advises on all aspects of technology and e-commerce law, with a particular focus on the requirements of financial institutions and financial services providers. In addition to leading the firm’s Technology and Innovation Group, she is also a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds Group at Matheson.

Deirdre Kilroy has joined the firm as a Partner and Head of Intellectual Property. Deirdre is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading intellectual property law, technology and data privacy specialists. Deirdre holds a BCL and LLM from University College Dublin.

Chris Bollard has joined the firm as a partner and will lead the firm’s new San Francisco office together with West Coast Head Partner, Mark O’Sullivan. Chris is a recognised expert in IT law, data privacy, e-commerce and intellectual property. He holds an LLM in Law, Science and Technology from Stanford University Law School.

Matheson recently announced the opening of a new office in San Francisco, its third in the US and its fifth globally.  Matheson was the first European law firm to open a legal practice in Silicon Valley in 1996 and, since then, the firm has worked closely with some of the world’s largest tech multinationals and high-profile start-ups. Headquartered in Dublin with offices in London, New York, Palo Alto and San Francisco, more than 650 people work across Matheson’s five offices, including 80 partners and tax principals, and over 350 legal and tax professionals.
