Gráinne Dever is a partner and the head of AB Wolfe & Co, the debt and enforcement division of Matheson. She has over 12 years' experience in commercial litigation with her primary focus and expertise being in debt recovery and enforcement of security. She advises financial institutions, companies, government agencies and SMEs on the recovery of debt (secured and unsecured, aged debtors and breach of contract claims).
Gráinne advises on all elements of enforcement including bankruptcy, well charging orders, garnishee orders and appointment of receivers by way of equitable execution. Gráinne regularly advises financial institutions on obtaining court orders for possession, orders for sale as well as the appointment of fixed charge receivers. She is also experienced in advising clients on their enforcement options where a debtor is deceased.
Gráinne has contributed to various industry publications in the areas of mortgage litigation and enforcement. She regularly gives in-house presentations on relevant topics to banks and other financial institutions. Gráinne lectures on enforcement at the Law Society of Ireland and has spoken at national and international conferences.
Gráinne is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and a member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
- advised the Collector General’s office of the Revenue Commissioners for five years on the recovery of outstanding taxes for the Central Fund
- advising a number of leading national and international financial institutions on the enforcement of defaulting loan portfolios
- advising a number of asset management companies on enforcement options and on the related regulatory requirements
- advised a credit union on the successful appointment of a Receiver to recover funds due to the borrower from a trust
- defending financial institutions in actions being taken against them by borrowers
