Laura Gleeson is a Partner in the Banking and Financial Services Group at Matheson. Laura advises Irish and international banks and financial institutions in relation to loan and asset portfolio sales, domestic and international bilateral and syndicated lending, leveraged finance, receivables finance, trade finance, property finance, consensual work-outs and debt restructurings.
Laura has advised and, in some cases, continues to advise:
- a leading international financial institution in respect of the disposal of a number of portfolios comprising loans and related collateral, with a combined face value of over €1,200,000,000;
- a number of leading international and domestic financial institutions with regard to the provision of non-recourse receivables financing to Irish and international corporates;
- lenders, both domestic and international, in relation to bilateral and syndicated credit facilities (both secured and unsecured);
- a number of leading international and domestic financial institutions with regard to the provision of property finance;
- Irish and international corporates in relation to borrowings and the provision of guarantees and security in respect of such borrowings;
- a number of leading international and domestic financial institutions in respect of single and multi-currency trade finance facilities;
- a leading international financial institution in respect of bilateral facilities to a state-owned body;
- a syndicate of banks with regard to the restructuring of facilities previously made available for a large scale retail and residential development in Ireland; and
- a syndicate of banks with regard to the restructuring of a large domestic property finance exposure including advising the syndicate with regard to a debt-for-equity swap.
