For the second year running, Matheson has won ‘Best AIFMD Law Firm Europe’ awarded by Wealth & Finance International. The Asset Management and Investment Funds Group at Matheson is the number one ranked funds practice in Ireland, acting for 28% of Irish domiciled investment funds by assets under management.  The group is led by 10 partners and comprises over 60 fund professionals.

The Wealth & Finance Alternative Investment Awards 2015 recognise commitment to the alternative investment funds industry. The awards focus on the most innovative, forward thinking and client-focused firms.  Matheson’s entry was shortlisted by a peer review system, and selected by a judging panel which took into consideration votes, substantiating evidence and research.

Commenting on the award, Tara Doyle, Partner in the Asset Management and Investment Funds group, said, “We are pleased to have won this award for the second year running.  This accolade is testament to our group’s focus on delivering excellent client service by drawing on the considerable breadth and depth of expertise within the team.”

This win follows on from a number of significant awards this year, including The Hedge Fund Journal’s European Law Firm of the Year and’s Best Funds Lawyer Europe award. Matheson has also won Finance Dublin’s Investment Funds (International) Deal of the Year Award for 2015 and 2014.
