Matheson Advises Motive Partners on its Significant Investment in Global Shares plc

Matheson advised Motive Partners, a US private equity firm, on its investment in Global Shares plc. The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions (including regulatory clearance), is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2018.

Motive Partners is a sector-specific investment firm focused on technology-enabled companies that power the financial services industry.

Global Shares plc, Deloitte’s 2017 “Irish Fintech Company of the Year”, was founded in 2005 and is a market-leading provider of innovative software and services for employee equity share plan administration, including:  equity compensation management solutions, share plan administration, global custody, share-dealing and financial reporting services to companies and their employees in over 100 countries worldwide.  These companies include Cargill (US), GlaxoSmithKline (UK), Sage (UK), Generali (IT) and many more.
