Philip Lovegrove is a partner in Matheson’s Asset Management and Investment Funds Group. He specialises in advising on the establishment and operation of investment funds in Ireland.

Philip has over ten years’ experience of advising leading international financial institutions and asset management companies on structuring and offering fund products in Ireland. He has particular expertise in relation to innovative and complex products authorised as UCITS, exchange traded funds and emerging markets products. Philip also has significant experience of advising clients on establishing hedge funds and alternative investment products in Ireland and in listing on the Irish Stock Exchange.

Philip worked closely on the Irish fund industry’s project to ensure the smooth implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), contributing a number of articles on the topic. He has since been involved in advising major clients on all aspects of the AIFMD, including acting in respect of one of the first internally-managed AIFM authorisations to be obtained in Europe.
