Knowledge Insights

Matheson Knowledge Insights

In January 2018 we launched a new client education and update programme, entitled Matheson Knowledge Insights. This series of education and training events has been designed to keep our clients updated on the latest and emerging legal, regulatory and business developments. Each event provides direct access to the knowledge and legal expertise of Matheson partners and the members of our PSL Faculty, and the series also features business management and industry experts.

As part of Matheson’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions and leveraging technology, the Knowledge Insights series is delivered through a combination of in-person briefing sessions at our Dublin offices and online briefings via Matheson’s Client Learning Hub. To assist Irish registered in-house counsel fulfil their CPD requirements, each event qualifies for CPD under the Law Society of Ireland requirements, whether attended in person or viewed online. Horizon Scanning

Keeping up to date with new and proposed legislation and regulation is an ongoing challenge for businesses. The Matheson PSL Faculty monitors and analyses proposed and upcoming Irish and EU legislative and regulatory developments, to determine the practical implications for our clients.

The Matheson PSL Faculty Horizon Timeline 2018 outlines anticipated dates for key Irish and EU legal and regulatory developments in 2018. This timeline shows a selection of the developments on the horizon. Further sector-specific information on legislation on the horizon is available at:

Our PSL Faculty delivers quarterly Horizon Scanning Updates on upcoming and proposed legislation on the horizon, as part of the Matheson Knowledge Insights series. Each update focuses on particular sectors or areas of law. The Spring 2018 session will be a panel discussion on legal and regulatory developments affecting corporates, banks and investment funds.
