Three Matheson partners have been recognised for their outstanding work and client service in the International Law Office (ILO) Client Choice Awards 2017.

Corporate Partner Patrick Spicer was the 2017 Client Choice award winner for Corporate Law in Ireland. Clients said that his advice is always “first class” and laud his “commercial awareness and the experience he brings to the table”.

Anne-Marie Bohan was the award winner for her work in IT and Internet Law in Ireland. Anne-Marie is the head of the Technology and Innovation group at Matheson, and according to clients is “at the forefront of thought leadership”. Others say her “expertise is invaluable”.

Asset Management and Investment Funds Partner Michelle Ridge, who clients describe as “pragmatic and thoughtful”, is the ILO Client Choice award winner for Banking Law in Ireland, a category that incorporates financial services. Another client said that Michelle and her team “provide exceptional service standards and advice”.

The Client Choice awards are based on a survey of senior in-house counsel to identify leading lawyers around the world for excellence in client service standards and the value they add to client businesses. Uniquely, these awards survey senior corporate counsel only, with this year's winners chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.

Client Choice has recognised 403 partners in 2017 across 66 jurisdictions worldwide, and the winners were honoured at a gala dinner in London on 2 February 2017.
