Matheson is delighted to welcome the news that Anne-Marie Bohan, Partner and Head of the Technology and Innovation Group, has been presented with the Trinity Praeses Elit Award 2017 / 2018 for her work in the field of technology law and innovation in Ireland.
Anne-Marie (pictured left below) received her award alongside fellow recipients (l-r); Sinead McSweeney, Managing Director of Twitter Ireland, actress and writer Amy Huberman, Cathriona Hallahan, Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland, and actress, comedian and writer Tara Flynn.
Accepting the award, Anne-Marie said
“As an alumnus of Trinity College Law School, I am delighted and honoured to accept such a prestigious award and I would like to thank the members of Trinity College Law Society.”
The Trinity Praeses Elit Award recognises those who have been a source of inspiration to others, particularly young people and was founded by Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. Former recipients include Cherie Blair (2013), Commander Christopher Hadfield (2014), Lord Neuburger, President of the UK Supreme Court (2015) and Baroness Hale (2016).
Anne-Marie has over 20 years' experience in technology related legal matters and is a leader in the area of innovation, technology, fintech, asset management and investment funds. She has lectured on IT, data protection and financial services at the Law Society of Ireland, the National University of Maynooth, among others and has also authored numerous publications on outsourcing contracts, data protection and fintech. Anne-Marie was awarded the International Law Office Client Choice Award 2017 (Ireland) for her work in IT and Internet Law.
