We are pleased to announce that Matheson has awarded Cathal Moloney the Funds Law Legal Writing Award in recognition of Cathal being awarded the highest grade for his written assignment forming part of the course assessment on the specialised Funds Law course delivered by Matheson in partnership with Maynooth University.
Speaking at the virtual prize giving, Head of Investment Funds Tara Doyle said, “It is our great pleasure here at Matheson to continue our collaboration with Maynooth University in delivering this course. The module offers third level students an important opportunity to develop the skills base necessary to ensure Ireland’s continued success in international financial services.”
Matheson first partnered with Maynooth University Department of Law in 2013 to deliver the first specialised funds law course to be taught at an Irish university. Through the collaborative effort of Matheson and Maynooth University, this partnership between industry and academia seeks to directly link education and employment opportunity in a vibrant sector of business sector in Ireland today. The top three students on the Funds Law course are also offered the opportunity to interview for a six month internship in Matheson’s Asset Management and Investment Funds Department.
