Cpl GDPR: Making it Real

AUTHORs: Anne-Marie Bohan Date: 01/09/2017

What does GDPR mean for you, and your business? Matheson head of Technology and Innovation Anne-Marie Bohan is delighted to be a guest speaker at the Cpl Jobs Ireland GDPR breakfast event on Tuesday, 5 September.

Anne-Marie will be joined on the panel at the Cpl event by Mary Colhoun, Data Protection Director at Eir, and Kevin Sweeney, Head of Data Protection at Cpl Resources. Anne-Marie will focus her remarks on the emerging practical challenges which organisations are identifying when applying the principles of the GDPR to the reality of business operations.

At Matheson, we recognise the significant increase in the focus on data protection and cybersecurity. In response to the needs of our clients we have refocused our technology and innovation practice and recently announced new leadership for the group, with Anne-Marie appointed head of Technology and Innovation.

The partners’ close collaboration with colleagues in Matheson’s employment, litigation and regulatory teams means that the Group offers real depth of knowledge, experience and risk awareness, and can advise clients on the legal and regulatory regime, but also the practical and pragmatic application of it.

The General Data Protection Regulation has become a central issue for many companies, and with less than a year to go before the new regulations are introduced, now is the time to ask what it means for you, your company and your data. Matheson’s data protection and privacy experts will help you navigate the complex legal issues you will face.
