Bryan Dunne, partner and head of Employment at Matheson along with Anne-Marie Bohan, partner and head of Technology and Innovation and senior associate Geraldine Carr will speak at an upcoming Brexit and human resources briefing focusing on Ireland as a location post Brexit in Washington DC on Tuesday, 13 November.

Matheson is partnering with the Brussels European Employment Relations Group (“BEERG”) for the afternoon briefing which will focus heavily on labour and employment law within Ireland in the context of Brexit, as well as other Brexit-related issues.

Matheson representatives will be joined by Tom Hayes, Executive Director, BEERG. Presentations and discussions will cover Ireland and labour relations, Brexit and the GDPR, transitioning UK based European Work Councils to Irish law, and Ireland and the challenge of Brexit.

Speaking ahead of the event, Bryan Dunne said –

We would like to thank Tom Hayes from BEERG for inviting Matheson to speak at their upcoming Brexit briefing in Washington. Tom has been a leading voice on the impact that Brexit will have on European employment issues and in particular the many UK law governed European Works Councils that may very soon need to be transitioned to other EU jurisdictions. We are very much looking forward to what I’m sure will be engaging discussions around the area of labour and employment law.”
