Matheson's Asset Management and Investment Funds Department has been ranked by the Monterey Insight Ireland Fund Report as Ireland's leading practice by assets under management (“AUM”) for the ninth year in a row.
The Monterey Insight Ireland Fund Report 2019 reveals that Matheson continues to rank first for Irish domiciled funds based on the AUM at 31% and first amongst both domiciled and non-domiciled funds as at 30 June 2019.
The report showed a growth in AUM advised by Matheson of US$83 billion, representing growth of over 10%, almost double that of Irish domiciled funds across the industry. This cements Matheson’s reputation as the law firm of choice for international asset managers establishing Irish funds.
Commenting on the results of the report, Tara Doyle, Head of Matheson's Asset Management and Investment Funds Department, said: “We are delighted to see our market share, both in terms of assets and number of funds, continue to grow. This is testament to our clients’ commitment to Ireland as a fund domicile and to our team centred approach to client servicing. We are proud of the part we play in our clients’ continued growth.”
Matheson's dedicated Asset Management and Investment Funds Department comprises over 60 fund professionals in total, led by 11 partners and has extensive experience in UCITS and alternative investment funds including ETFs, money market funds, credit funds, property funds and private equity funds.
