Matheson shortlisted in multiple categories at the Women in Finance Awards 2021

Matheson is delighted to announce that the firm has been shortlisted in a number of categories at the Women in Finance Awards Ireland 2021.  The Women in Finance Awards series aims to redress the gender imbalance by showcasing the achievements of women in the sector and by identifying new role models.  This growing awards series acts as a flagship and high-profile platform to support the industry in its mission to move the dial on gender balance.

Matheson has been shortlisted in the ‘Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Initiative of the Year’ and the ‘Employer of the Year’ categories.  The DEI category highlights organisations that have undertaken a specific initiative that has been established to promote diversity, equity and inclusion within their organisation or the wider community.

The Employer of the Year category recognizes financial services companies which have demonstrated great efforts to create a more diverse and inclusive working environment and achieve equal gender representation at all levels.

Tara Doyle, Partner and Chairperson of Matheson, who previously won 'Legal Adviser of the Year' in two consecutive years, has been shortlisted for ‘Outstanding Contribution of the Year’  award which recognises the achievements of a person who has made an important contribution to the general standing of the financial services industry over a long period of time.

Other Matheson partners shortlisted this year include; Catriona ColeCaroline Austin and Michelle Ridge who have all been shortlisted in the ‘Legal Adviser of the Year’ category.  This category recognises the lawyer who has broken down barriers to advancement in their firm and in the wider legal sector, and who has paved the way for diversity in leadership.  The award is based on achievements made in the past 18 months.

Being shortlisted in both the 'Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Initiative' and the 'Employer of the Year' categories brings welcome recognition to our Impactful Business Programme, enhancing our social impact by providing a single vision to deliver and support meaningful, sustainable and measurable change across our community of colleagues, clients and society and our Employee Wellbeing Programme.

Congratulations to all of the finalists and we are looking forward to the online awards ceremony on 8 December 2021.
