Matheson is honoured to have been awarded the Net Zero Carbon Award at the Business & Finance ESG Awards 2023 for our innovative energy tracking app – CarbonCal.
The award recognises Matheson’s commitment to place environmental sustainability and carbon neutrality at the forefront of our business through our environmental sustainability initiatives, which are delivered as a core part of our Impactful Business Programme. CarbonCal is Matheson's energy tracker app, proudly developed in-house by our Environmental Sustainability Committee and our Digital Services Group - the first app of its kind introduced by an Irish law firm. The app allows employees to calculate their carbon footprint, find out achievable ways and hints and tips for cutting carbon, and to measure their carbon footprint reduction progress over time.

The ESG Awards celebrate those actively striving to address and progress Environment, Social and Governance performance within their organisation and recognises those setting the standards for ESG excellence. The winners were revealed at the awards ceremony which took place on Thursday, 20 April at The Mansion House, Dublin.
