Sally Anne is a partner in the Commercial Real Estate Department at Matheson. Sally Anne has over 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate law, advising clients across the full spectrum of transactions, including: negotiation of commercial leases and agreements for lease for both landlords and tenants; commercial real estate aspects of corporate transactions, including the sale and purchase of both private and public companies; advising owner/occupiers on the acquisition of office, industrial and manufacturing premises; acquisition, disposal and financing of asset portfolios and loan portfolios; and advising tenants and owner/operators on the acquisition, development and disposal of data centres.

Sally Anne advises a number of multinational companies in the technology, pharmaceutical and hospitality sectors. She has advised several new entrants to Ireland on the leasing of office premises in both Dublin and regional locations. She also has substantial experience in the acquisition and development of pharmaceutical and manufacturing facilities.

Sally Anne has advised on some of the largest single asset real estate and commercial letting transactions in the Irish Market.

  • Acting for a number of high profile multinational IT product and service companies and other international businesses establishing their presence in Ireland in both prime Dublin city centre and other regional locations varying in size from 20,000 to 200,000 square foot.
  • Advising a leading Investment Bank on the acquisition of over 150,000 square feet of office space in a prime location and continuing to advise on their further expansion plans in Dublin.
  • Advising a high profile international online retailer on the continued expansion of its property portfolio in Ireland including an Agreement for Lease and Lease of an office premises which completed in the second quarter of 2017 and has been described as by far the largest in Dublin for several years.
  • Advising a number of global technology giants on the acquisition and letting of lands for the development of the largest data centres in Ireland.
  • Advising Zendesk on the letting of its new EMEA headquarters at 55 Charlemont with a rent of approximately €3 million per annum for almost 60,000 square foot of office space.
  • Advising Autodesk on the pre-letting of its EMEA office headquarters at 1 WML in the SOBO District on Dublin’s South Quays with a rent of over €2 million per annum for almost 50,000 square foot.
  • Advising on the acquisition of a fully let office block for a consideration of €50 million.
  • Advising Oxley Holding and Ballymore Group on the ongoing development of Dublin landing which will include over 600,000 square feet of office space, more than 300 residential units for sale, number of retail and restaurant units, public amenities and new city streets.
  • Advising Ballymore Group / Oxley Holdings on the pre-letting of the entire of No. 2 Dublin Landings to WeWork and the sale of No.2 Dublin Landings to a Korean Investment Fund.
  • Advised Ballymore Group / Oxley Holdings on the sale of the entire of No 1 Dublin Landings to a German Pension Fund.
  • Advising on the property aspects of the purchase by Brown Forman of Slane Castle Irish Whiskey Limited from the Mount Charles Family (Project Emerald) and is continuing to advise Brown Forman on all real estate matters in connection with their state of the art whiskey distillery in Slane Castle, Co. Meath.
  • Acting for a number of high profile multinational IT product and service companies and other international businesses establishing their presence in Ireland in both prime Dublin city centre and other regional locations varying in size from 20,000 to 200,000 square foot.
