Matheson Employment Law Team Goes from Strength to Strength

With “leading individual”  Bryan Dunne at the head of the Matheson Employment Practice, it has once again retained its tier one ranking and been described as a “go-to” team in the recently published European Legal 500 2019.  As the team goes from “strength to strength”, it is now clearly recognised as a market leader in its field for highly complex employment matters, both advisory and contentious.

The team continues to grow in both size and experience consolidating its position as a highly respected internationally focused presence.  With a stand-alone practice area in Matheson for the past 20 years, the team is now the largest in size it has ever been.  Alongside four employment partners, it also boasts a number of talented and experienced associates.  “Next generation lawyer” Russell Rochford brings significant international experience to the team having previously worked in the UK.  He, alongside fellow partner Niall Pelly, described as an “absolute standout advisor” by Legal 500, as well as newly appointed partner, the “very experienced” Geraldine Carr, ensures the team has a breadth of experience at a senior advisor level.

Our Employment Team is the only employment practice in Ireland with substantial multi-jurisdictional expertise drawing on the experience of a number of our lawyers who are qualified or have worked in the UK and / or the US for a period of time. While our practice is exclusively Irish law, this gives us an added understanding of where our US and UK clients are coming from in assessing their issues. We are also unique in the Irish market in our long recognised level of insight into and experience in advising international employers on their Irish operations, in particular in the tech, pharma and financial services sectors.
