Matheson is delighted to congratulate Eimer Hannon, Founder and MD of Hannon Travel, as Matheson Women Mean Business (WMB) Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2019. The award was announced at the 2019 WMB Conference in Dublin on Monday, 30 September, and was presented to Eimear on behalf of Matheson by partner and Head of Business Development, Deirdre Dunne, who sat on this year’s panel of judges.
For the last 20 years, leading corporate travel management company, Hannon Travel, has been serving the travel needs of international companies across a broad range of sectors, including aircraft leasing, pharmaceutical, finance, equine and natural resources. Most recently, Eimer has demonstrated her extensive knowledge of the global corporate travel market by expanding into the UK with the establishment of a Belfast office. This strategic business growth comes in preparation for a post-Brexit environment, where Hannon Travel is focusing on the opportunities that may arise from Brexit, while continuing to build on their existing UK client portfolio.
Matheson’s continued support of the WMB Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award reflects our values of diversity and entrepreneurship. The firm has recently been ranked the seventh most gender-diverse law firm in Europe in The Lawyer’s European 100.

The ceremony followed a busy conference schedule which included addresses from Margot Slattery, Country President, Sodexo Ireland and Oliver Loomes, Country Director and Chairman, Diageo Ireland.
