Newly Qualified Solicitors Appointed Across Seven Different Practice Areas

Matheson LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of 42 newly qualified solicitors across seven of its leading practice areas: Asset Management; Commercial Litigation; Commercial Real Estate; Corporate; Finance and Capital Markets; Private Client; and Tax.

Matheson continues to invest in developing and training the best graduates and working with third-level colleges across the country to ensure that its trainees and solicitors of the future are best placed to be able to support clients and help their businesses succeed.

Commenting on the recent appointments, Managing Partner of Matheson, Michael Jackson, said, "We are delighted to announce the appointment of 42 newly qualified solicitors at Matheson.  The promotion of this group of skilled individuals further highlights the success of Matheson's people strategy and of our continuous investment in talent across the entire firm, but particularly in the many market-leading and diverse range of practice areas in which we have seen such significant growth in recent years.  The skills of this new talented group of solicitors will help drive the continued growth of the firm and will aid our national and international clients in their own growth plans.  Congratulations to each of them on their appointment."

The appointment of these newly qualified solicitors is a product of Matheson's innovative and high-performing trainee programme; which attracts talented graduates from across Ireland who then develop their skills under the structured training programmes delivered within the firm, as well as by engaging in mentor relationships with partners, and by using the many opportunities given to them to work with some of the world's leading and internationally focussed companies and financial institutions.

Director of Learning and Development, Nicola White, said, "We continue to invest in the development of the future talent of our firm in innovative ways.  For example, we recently signed a five-year sponsorship with University College Cork (the UCC and Matheson Innovation Partnership), which has created a new lectureship and scholarship, as well as a series of lectures and events in law, technology and innovation.  Our agile L&D strategy allows us to regularly introduce new skills to all our employees – legal and business services – helping to staying ahead of demand in developing areas such as technology and innovation."
