Five Matheson lawyers recognised for their work in Expert Guides Rising Stars Guide 2021

Matheson is  pleased to announce that five lawyers Caroline Austin (Tax), Stephen Gardiner (Aviation), Catriona Cole (Investment Funds) and Kevin Mahony (Aviation) have been  recognised in the Expert Guides Rising Stars Guide 2021, 7th edition. 

Expert Guides identifies the world’s leading lawyers, advisers and legal practitioners based on extensive peer review. The Rising Stars Guide includes partners and senior associates under 40 across 63 jurisdictions in 30 practice areas who have been recognised for their work in recent cases and peer reviews. 

Caroline Austin is a partner in the Tax Department at Matheson, advising  on cross border tax planning, transfer pricing, tax controversy matters and inward investment projects.  Caroline also has extensive experience in international corporate restructurings as well as mergers and acquisitions on an international and national level. 

Stephen Gardiner is a partner in the Finance and Capital Markets Department at Matheson. Stephen advises aircraft lessors, financiers and airlines on the trading, financing, leasing and repossession of aircraft. His practice includes the establishment of corporate structures in Ireland to facilitate the financing and leasing of various asset classes, including aviation, maritime and industrial assets.

Catriona Cole is a partner in the Asset Management Department at Matheson. Caitriona practices financial services law and advises many of the world’s leading financial institutions, investment banks, asset management companies and service providers carrying on business in Ireland or through Irish vehicles.

Kevin Mahony is a senior associate in the Asset Finance Group in the Finance and Capital Markets at Matheson and has advised many of the world’s leading financial institutions, aircraft lessors, aircraft owners and airlines located both in Ireland and throughout the world.
