Almost four years after the European Commission proposed new rules to regulate money market funds (“MMFs”), the reform regulation has finally been published. Full details are available in a client update here and in a long-form briefing note; the main point to note is that existing MMFs will have until 21 January 2019 to comply with the new rules.
