Dualta Counihan is a partner in the Asset Management Department at Matheson. He practises financial services law and advises many of the world’s leading financial institutions, investment banks, asset management companies, and service providers carrying on business in Ireland or through Irish vehicles.
Dualta has extensive experience in advising a wide range of international clients on the structuring and establishment of investment vehicles and products in Ireland and their marketing and sale globally. In particular, he advises on the legal and regulatory issues surrounding the establishment of private funds (private credit, private equity and infrastructure) and public funds (mutual funds, alternative and structured UCITS and ETFs) in Ireland.

- on the establishment of common contractual funds as UCITS and Qualifying Investor Funds;
- on the establishment and cross border passporting of UCITS and AIFMD management companies; and
- on the cross-border mergers of an Irish, UK and Luxembourg UCITS.
