Matheson advises ISIF on its investment in Equal1

Matheson recently advised the National Treasury Management Agency (as controller and manager of the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund) (“ISIF”) in connection with its investment in the Dublin-based quantum semiconductor company, Equal1, as part of a $60m funding round to accelerate the development of scalable, silicon-based quantum computers and deployment of Equal1’s data centre-ready Bell-1 quantum server.

Brian McCloskey, Corporate M&A Partner at Matheson said:

“We are delighted to have advised ISIF on their investment in Equal1.  The rapid development of AI in recent years and the role to be played by quantum computing in the next phase of that development will be fascinating to watch.”
