Regulatory CPD | May 2023 will see the fifth anniversary of the coming into force of the GDPR. While data protection and privacy law is continuously evolving, developments over the past twelve months in particular have led to an increased focus on, and understanding of, enforcement matters and the approaches to enforcement taken by the supervisory authorities, the EDPB and the courts under the GDPR. Our theme for this year’s annual “World Data Protection Day” briefing, “Enforcement Trends: Evolution and Revolution?” is reflective of this.
