Seóna is a partner in the firm’s International Business Group.

Seóna practices Irish corporate law, with a primary focus on advising US and other international clients on the Irish legal aspects of doing business in and from Ireland.

As part of her role, Seóna advises on inward investment projects, and works with international companies on the establishment, expansion, and operation of their business in Ireland. Seóna also advises multinationals on the complex legal issues which can arise on global reorganisations involving Irish subsidiaries of foreign companies, including in relation to pre- and post-acquisition integration and consolidation projects, spin-off transactions, and cross-border mergers. Seóna regularly leads such group-wide multi-jurisdictional international reorganisation projects.

Seóna also advises corporate clients on a broad range of day-to-day and corporate governance related issues, including advising on directors’ duties and other corporate practices and procedures.  In addition, she provides advice and strategic counselling to clients and advice in relation to distributions and complex cash repatriation strategies.

Experience and Education

Seóna’s experience includes:

  • Advising international corporations on establishment and expansion projects in Ireland.
  • Standing Irish corporate counsel to many international companies.
  • Advising Fortune 100 US corporations on the planning and implementation of group-wide international restructurings including IP reorganisations, pre- and post-acquisition integration transactions, consolidation and restructuring projects, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, spin-off and separation transactions.
  • Managing significant multi-jurisdictional international reorganisations.
  • Providing ongoing strategic advice and counselling to a range of international corporations, including in relation to cash and dividend repatriation strategies.
  • Admitted as a solicitor in Ireland – 2017
