Matheson LLP is pleased to have advised private equity firm Waterland and MTM Engineering on the acquisition of CET Connect, an Irish-headquartered leading provider of structured cabling, IT network infrastructure and fibre optic services. The acquisition follows on from Waterland's investment in MTM Engineering in August last year, on which the Matheson team also advised.
Our Corporate M&A team, led by partner Robert Maloney-Derham, senior associate Jenny Keenan, associate Donal Feehan and trainee Ciarán Murray advised Waterland and MTM Engineering on the acquisition.
Robert Maloney-Derham, partner in the firm's corporate M&A team commented:
"We are delighted to have assisted Waterland and MTM Engineering on this acquisition, which increases the service offering of the MTM business and makes it one of Europe's largest specialist cabling companies. This transaction exemplifies Waterland's 'buy-and-build' strategy to support Irish companies to grow through acquisitions and become European leaders in their industry but remain headquartered in Ireland."
As Ireland's largest law firm, Matheson LLP has some of the most experienced corporate lawyers in Ireland. Excellence matters and Matheson's corporate department has unrivalled experience in advising international private equity clients across all industry sectors, making the firm uniquely positioned to partner with clients to successfully deliver these types of transactions."
