Matheson’s Knowledge Management team provides research support and information services for staff and clients, ensuring access to current legal developments and resources

As part of our services we provide legal horizon scanning, current awareness, bespoke research in specialized areas, and information support across the firm’s practice areas. Our Knowledge Hub provides a platform for webinars and podcasts on a range of topics.

Our Head of Knowledge Management leads both the Knowledge Management Team and the Professional Support Lawyer (“PSL“) Faculty in delivering firm wide knowledge management solutions and thought leadership initiatives.  The  PSL Faculty brings together our Professional Support Lawyers  from practice areas across the firm to enhance a firm wide approach to knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation at Matheson, supporting our lawyers and our clients.

The PSL Faculty is comprised of highly qualified and experienced partners, solicitors and barristers who have many years of first-hand experience managing transactions and client relationships, as well as in-house experience working with global organisations. Their considerable expertise in practise and legal knowledge serves to support the provision of quality advice to our clients.

The Knowledge Management Team collaborates closely with numerous business service departments and consists of administrators, a Library and Information Services Manager, legal researchers and Knowledge Management and Innovation lawyers.

The Knowledge Management team works with the PSL Faculty in achieving central firm objectives including:

  • Monitoring of Irish and EU legal and regulatory developments;
  • Producing client focussed thought leadership and horizon tracking reflecting cross-practice collaboration and specialist, sectoral expertise in the firm;
  • Strategic management of internal know how processes including the smart use of technological knowledge solutions;

Thought Leadership

Simplify to Succeed

The evolving regulatory and policy landscapes are shaping competitiveness and creating opportunities across a variety of sectors. Efforts to simplify regulation are influencing sustainability, technology, dispute strategy, competition and financial services.

Our recent EU Summit, in partnership with Trinity College Dublin, explored how Irish businesses can respond to, and benefit from, emerging trends in regulation.
