Matheson has today announced its sponsorship of Ireland’s GC Powerlist from 2019 as part of a three year agreement. The GC Powerlist recognises in-house counsel that have made a notable impact on their company or industry through innovation, creativity, and excellence in technical advice or advancing a working model that other corporate counsel should try to emulate.

The 2019 Irish GC Powerlist will be celebrated in October at an event to recognise the top 100 in-house lawyers in Ireland today. Nominations will open shortly and law firm partners and in-house counsel are invited to nominate corporate counsel that have been instrumental in:
- changing or forming opinions within their company or industry;
- developing brilliant technical solutions to complex issues;
- creating innovative structures to ensure that the in-house function is driving the business forward; or
- providing a business working model that other corporate counsel should follow
An experienced team of researchers will assess the nominations, and will interview the general counsel and any nominating-lawyer on the long-list before finalising. Additional information is available here.
