Matheson is delighted to announce that Finance and Capital Markets partner Yvonne McWeeney has been named “Best in Aviation 2019” at the Euromoney Women in Business Law Awards held at The Savoy Hotel in London on 13 June.
Yvonne’s win reflects her ten years’ of experience in the aviation and asset finance industry and, Managing Partner Michael Jackson was quoted as saying “this is a fantastic achievement in her first year as partner”.
Yvonne said of her win: “To have been nominated in this category alongside Irish and international aviation law specialists that I respect and admire greatly is very humbling. I am deeply honoured to win this award and to be recognised by Euromoney as the best in Europe in my field.”
Joining Yvonne at the awards ceremony were Turlough Galvin, co-head of finance and capital markets, fellow Aviation Finance and Transportation group colleagues Rory McPhillips, and Aviation Tax senior associate Michelle Daly.
This result adds to the Aviation Finance and Transportation Group's multiple award wins this year, including Export Credit Deal of the Year 2018 at the Airfinance Awards held in New York in May and Capital Markets Deal of the Year at the Aviation 100 Global Leaders Awards in January 2019.
