A Matheson Corporate M&A team, led by partner Madeline McDonnell and senior associate Jenny Keenan, is delighted to be advising An Post on its agreement to sell its shareholding in Premier Lotteries Ireland DAC (PLI), the licensed operator of the Irish National Lottery, to La Française des Jeux (FDJ). As part of the transaction, PLI's other shareholders, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board and the An Post Pension Fund, will also sell their shareholdings in PLI to FDJ.

Closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including approval by the regulator of the Irish National Lottery.
