Matheson is delighted to have worked alongside Latham & Watkins LLC advising AllianceBernstein (a leading global investment management and research firm) on the Irish aspects of its transformational deal with Societe Generale establishing a leading global cash equities and equity research business, which officially launched on 1 April 2024.
The joint venture, Bernstein, is expected to be a market leader in global cash equities providing investment insights into the North American, European and Asia Pacific equity markets. It will also provide unparalleled liquidity access and leading global trading technology through its cash equities and research business, thereby delivering investment expertise, products and services to clients on a global basis.
The Corporate Matheson team was led by partners in the Financial Institutions Group, Joe Beashel and Caroline Kearns and included senior associate Ciarán Moloney and associate Laura Hughes, and on the Tax side by partner Kevin Smith and senior associate Aisling Egan.
