The Financial Times Innovative Lawyers 20 Years Report Published
Matheson LLP has been recognised once again as one of the top ten most innovative law firms in Europe by the Financial Times and global legal research and intelligence agency, RSGI. The top 20 most innovative law firms and general counsels were announced at the 20th Innovative Lawyers Global Summit in London last night.
The summit also saw the publication by the Financial Times of the FT Innovative Lawyers 20 Years report, which can be seen here. Law firms, individuals and in-house teams were selected as representing the standout trends in 20 years of innovation in the legal sector. The top 20 law firms list comprises those who have appeared most often in the top 10 places of the overall rankings in the FT Innovative Law regional reports, specifically in Europe from 2006 to 2024.
Matheson Managing Partner, Michael Jackson said; “Innovation and Entrepreneurship are core values at Matheson. This recognition from the FT is a testament to all of those at the firm who have lived and displayed those core values over the past twenty years, and to the clients with whom we have collaborated on so many innovative projects. It is pleasing to see our ability to innovate and evolve being recognised in this way by such a reputable source as the FT innovative lawyers on this our 200th anniversary.”
“We foresee that technology will continue to play a very significant part in the evolution of the legal industry - and Matheson is committed to continuing to be at the forefront of the digital and AI revolutions. The exercise of human judgement and the knowledge that comes from many years of deep relationships with sophisticated international clients will continue, however, to be critical and will in my view be the factors which allow certain law firms to continue to differentiate themselves as leaders in innovation. Matheson is fortunate to have the people, the skills and the clients to enable it to continue to innovate, grow and expand.”
