Matheson Asset Management and Investment Funds Partner, Shay Lydon has been elected to the Irish Funds Council.
The Members’ Council plays a central role in shaping the strategic direction of both the association and the wider industry. Representing the voice of more than 150 member firms, the Council supports collaboration and engagement across the sector. With over 25 years of industry experience and 20 years of service on Irish Funds committees and working groups, Shay will bring his great energy, commitment and expertise to helping shape the future direction of Irish Funds and supporting Ireland’s position as the domicile of choice for global asset managers. His priorities will include ensuring that Ireland becomes a leading global domicile for private capital strategies; successfully implementing digital transformation through constructive engagement with government and regulators; promoting the distribution of Irish funds; and attracting and retaining the brightest talent in the industry.
