Matheson has launched Matheson In the Loop, a new podcast series bringing together leading voices from business, technology, academia and public policy to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of organisations in an increasingly digital world. The series examines emerging technologies, regulatory developments and strategic decisions driving business transformation, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, innovation, governance and competitiveness.
The inaugural two-part episode features Marie McGinley, Head of Technology and Innovation at Matheson, in conversation with Professor Andy Wu, Associate Professor of Business Administration at Harvard University. Their discussion explores AI governance, innovation, organisational competitiveness and the leadership challenges facing businesses as AI adoption accelerates across industries.
Commenting on the launch, Marie McGinley said: “Technology is reshaping every aspect of how organisations operate, compete and create value. AI is the most significant example of that transformation, but it is only one part of a much broader change taking place across business and society. Through Matheson In the Loop, we want to bring together leading thinkers, innovators, policymakers and industry leaders to share practical insights on both the opportunities and challenges those emerging technologies present. We are delighted to launch the series with Andy Wu, whose perspectives on innovation, leadership and AI governance are particularly relevant as organisations seek to harness the benefits of AI while managing its risks and responsibilities.”
The launch coincides with a significant week for AI and technology in Ireland, with a number of Matheson partners participating in the International AI Summit, Dublin, including Marie McGinley, Sarah Jayne Hanna and Kieran Trant.
As part of Matheson’s programme of events linked to Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Andy Wu will also speak at a special INED event later this week, contributing to discussions on innovation, competitiveness and the future of AI governance.
The first episode of Matheson In the Loop is available now here.
