Matheson is pleased to have advised Valeo Foods Group, a portfolio company of Bain Capital, on the sale of its Irish ambient food business, Valeo Foods Ireland, to an investor group led by Hilliard Lombard.
This transaction is consistent with Valeo Foods Group’s strategy to optimise its portfolio and sharpen focus on its ambition to be the “Sweet Treats Champion”, following its significant investment in recent years across the naturally Sweet (honey and maple syrup), confectionery and sweet bakery platforms. It also represents a positive next step for Valeo Foods Ireland, reflecting the strength of the business that has been built over many years.
