Matheson is delighted to have acted as Irish production counsel on season 2 of the hugely successful series “Wednesday” starring Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta Jones, Lady Gaga and Steve Buscemi.
The Matheson team was led by Entertainment and Media partner Ruth Hunter and senior associate Nicole Mitchel.
The entire of the second season was shot in Ireland. The production in Ireland sees the continuation of the collaboration between international streamers and Irish production companies to avail of state-of-the-art studio facilities at Ashford Studios, world class locations and local crew with immense depth and breadth of talent and experience. The production employed over 800 individuals and filmed across Dublin and Wicklow.
Part 1 is now available to watch on Netflix with part 2 being released on 3 September.
